Chris was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was the first of 5 children born to Peter and Christine Knudsen Norgaard on September 30, 1923 in Pocatello Idaho. He married Shirley May Gardner on January 22, 1948. They were blessed with 6 children: Rickie Chris (Angelyn), Carl Brent (Linda), Lynn Howard (Julie), Peter Kay (Linda), Judy Ann (Brad) Keith, and Cherie Lynn (Syd) Bristol. Twenty-one living grandchildren have since been added to this lineage, followed by many great-grandchildren. Chris and Shirley were later divorced. Chris enjoyed gardening and yard work. When he was younger he enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and flying airplanes. He made the best banana bread and a mean cup of coffee. He loved spending time with family and friends. Chris was a milk man for McMinn Dairy for 33 years. He delivered milk door to door and often blamed his bad knees on jumping in-and-out of the milk truck. He later joined his brother-in-law in business at B&G Plumbing, eventually purchasing the counter sales and naming it Chris' Plumbing Supply. He worked there until retirement. He then became a "snowbird", purchasing a home in Arizona where he would hide from the cold Idaho winter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marie and her husband, Herb Seefried, and his sister-in-law Rose Norgaard, and three grandchildren. He will be missed by his brother Carl Norgaard, sister Ellen (Tracy Watson), Anna (Earl Preslar) and his many friends and family. Guestbook for Peter Christian Norgaard Terry Davis Chris lived a long and well loved life. I have known him most of my life, and I shall remember him for ALL of my life. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Larry and Laralee Ganske We are sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with your family. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mont and Dell Lowe Please accept our most sincere condolences in your time of sorrow. A kind and generous man and always a gentleman lives on in the hearts and memories of all who had the priviledge of Chris' friendship. Mont and Dell Lowe -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sandra Lemmon Orton To the family of Chris and especially his sister, Ellen: I am so sorry for your loss. The Norgaard name takes me a long way back with some sketchy memories. But Ellen is always clear in my mind and has been a friend in music for ever. My love and thoughts are with you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cecilia D (Norgaard) French To our family and all friends of my Grandfather: I am very proud to be the granddaughter of this wonderful person. His love and caring ways will be a part of me that I will treasure always. A part that I will pass to my own children and share with all who come in and out of my life as Grandpa taught me. Grandpa, I will miss you forever and honor you always in my thoughts and deeds. Go with peace and love and watch over us always. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sheila Schofield-Hochhalter All, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I really wish I could have been there for the memorial service. You are all in my prayers in this hard time. Keep your chins up! With Love! |
