The SS Island left Copenhagen on March 30, 1904, stopped in Christiansand, Sweden on March 31 for more passengers, and arrived in NYC on April 21, 1904.13 He According to the Danish Emigration Archives, a Jens Chr. Hansen, age 19, with the same birth place and residence as Hans Chr. purchase the ticket with the previous ticket number. I seems likely that Jens is a close relative of Hans. on 30 March 1904.4 He immigrated on 21 April 1904 to New York City, New York, New York, USA; Should have arrived on the S.S. Island on Apr 21, 1904 but cannot identify him on the passenger manifests for that voyage.4,14,15,16 He lived in December 1904 at 7132 Ellis Ave, Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA.17 He lived in June 1907 at Kenosha, Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA.9 He lived in June 1909 at Antelope, Nebraska, USA.8 He died in 1909 at Crawford Twp, Antelope, Nebraska, USA; Died when James was about 3-4 years old. Notation on back of family picture (appears to have been taken when James was about 3 years old) indicates that his father died one year after the picture was taken. That would be approximately 1910.18,19 He was buried at Copenhagen Community, Crawford Twp, Antelope, Nebraska, USA.20
